Ahh that’s brilliant Lindsey it really made me smile, funny and so true! We do get written off by the younger generation but we have so much still to give and if they bothered to listen or ask us we can teach them a thing or two! And it rhymed! Amazing how overhearing a comment can spark your inspiration. Well done you I can see a book on the horizon

Bless you Liz, I do have a sort of idea for a book but I've looked into it a little and I really have to get out there a bit, enter competitions etc and get my name known a little before a publisher will even look at any ideas. It's very difficult but I am going to persevere and see where it takes me. I am so glad this poem made you smile, that's a nice thought to start the week. Thank you for all your encouragement and constant support, I am sure I say that every week but I really do mean it, Liz, thank you. x

Ahh thanks well when I see your posts pop up on my email I know I’ll have a nice read over my breakfast rather than just scrolling and always a lovely way to start the day xx

Bahahaha! Loved this! In my mom’s case, at 84, it would be whiskey. Frisky rhymes with whiskey, so there may need to be an adjustment…

I love this Lindsey! You’ve captured exactly how I feel. 65 going on 19 of only the body would hold up 🥰🤣

Yep, the mind is still teenage but the body is definitely feeling it, I think my knee has just realised how old it is!

This made me smile so much! Great poem, fun and inspirational 😊 it makes me realize how silly of me (and some of my friends) to sometimes worry about “getting too old for…” - absolutely not! - loved the poem and the writing and the video you reading the poem 👏🏼 thank you!

What a lovely comment, thank you so much. I think we all worry about getting older sometimes, especially when we have aches and pains, but there is still a lot of life to be had!

‘Youth has run off with the key …’ is a poetic line that I’ll remember and treasure for evermore Lindsey. It’s so true that the young, even my son at times, forget that we’ve also been young, lively and vibrant. That key is still very much yours and mine as we’re active both mentally and physically!!! ❤️🙏💪
